1. Bovine Mastitis
Bovine mastitis is the persistent, inflammatory reaction of the udder tissue due to physical trauma or microorganisms infections. Mastitis, a potentially fatal mammary gland infection, is the most common disease in dairy cattle in the United States and worldwide. It is also the most costly disease to the dairy industry. Prevention and Control of mastitis requires consistency in sanitizing the cow barn facilities, proper milking procedure and segregation of infected animals.

2.Bovine Brucellosis
Bovine brucellosis is usually caused by Brucella abortus, less frequently by B. melitensis, and rarely by B. suis. It is usually manifested by abortion, with excretion of the organisms in uterine discharges and in milk. Diagnosis depends on the isolation of Brucella sp. from abortion material, udder secretion or from tissues removed at postmortem examination. Alternatively, specific cell-mediated or serological responses to Brucella antigens can be demonstrated.

3. Bovine Tuberculosis
Bovine tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic disease of animals caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium bovis, (M.bovis) which is closely related to the bacteria that cause human and avian tuberculosis. This disease can affect practically all mammals, causing a general state of illness, coughing and eventual death.

Why I chose to be a vet

When I was a child, I wanted to be many things for example vet, Yes! it's true, also I wanted to be doctor, flight attendant and chef but I don't cook anything jajaja. But what I liked the most was to be vet because I love all the species of animals but my favorite is a dog and horse.
In the high school I think study accounting, or turism & hospitality but in october, 2017 I decided study Veterinarian Medicine, because this year my little pet Princesa got sick of cancer and the vet who attended saved her and I wanted to be like she.
Until now the life of university has been very stressful because I don't had many topic in the high school for examble biology and chemistry and the schedule is very extensive. But I what i lifed of the university is the tranquility, the trees and the people because they are many solidarity and comprehensive, and I love all the animals that are in the university
I would work in the small animal clinic with dogs and cats, also I would work with horses because they are very interesting and beautiful. Also I would study oncology for dogs and cats, But what I would the most is to save many animals like my pet princesa

How The Koalas live
Koalas are very amazing animals because they not drink water, they absorb water from eucalyptus leaves. Their gestation period is about from 30 to 35 days, later the offpring go up to the bag and stays there for 6 months drinking milk from the mother.
Koalas sleep around 22 hours, much more than the sloth bear.
They haven't  got a couple, they are solitary animals.







How the Kangaroos live 

Kangaroos are marsupial animals. This means that they have a bag, this bag protects the offspring. Their gestation period is about from 30 to 38 days, they can reach a speed of 70 kilometres per hour and they can jump a maximum of around 9 meters.
They live in groups of around 10 animals.
They are herbivorous and eat fruits and vegetables.
The mother can have until three offspring.

1.- I really like fast food

I completely agree with you because is very delicious and my favorite fast food is pizza.

2.- Woman drivers are very dangerous.

I don't know... Some woman are dangerous for drive and others not just the same as men.

3.-  English is an easy language to learn.

I disagree because in my case it's very difficult for me to learn english

4.-Education in Chile should be free.

I completely agree with you. I would like that everyone could study free also is a human rights

5.- War is sometimes the only option to resolve some differences.

 I completely disagree with this opinion. I think that exist other ways to fix the differences

I completely agree with you. In my opinion a pet is a great responsibility and you have to take care of them

I agree with this opinion, because meat takes up a lot of water and affects global warming

This is my life!

I am Scarlett Basáez I was born in Sotero del Río Hospital Santiago, Chile.
I am 19 years old. When I was one year old I went to live in Antofagasta. At elementary school, I studied at Colegio Padre Gustavo Le Paige in Antofagasta. Later, I started high school at Liceo LECYA in Antofagasta, Later in 2016 I returned to Santiago and completed high school in the speciality of accounting at Colegio San Sebastian de La Florida.




In the present I am studying in the second year of career of Veterinary medicine at Universitad de Chile, located in La Pintana

I live with my mom, my dad, my sister María, my litlle brother José and my beautiful pet Princesa, She has almost 12 years old is an old lady

Some of my hobbies is to watch series in Netflix, play with my little brother and sleep with my pet Princesa.
